My name is Musa and I’m a rap artist from Chicago. I was born and raised in Chicago, and so I rap about the everyday life in Chicago as a young black male. I focus my rhymes on capturing the street life, and just the everyday struggles people go through in this world. I rap about the problems in the world, so I’m not just local, and I incorporate a lot of my readings and studies in my rhymes. I take a political approach, and also an activist approach when I rap, and I tell stories in my raps. I don’t just write a bunch of words, it’s stories and emotions that can be felt by a multitude of people. I take pride in my work, and work hard writing and developing my style. This is my passion, and I showcase this in my rhymes.
